So let me summarize my post: Today was Cool Desert Nights which is an annual car show at the stripmall that I work at. A lot of the shops have sidewalk sales and I was the lucky gal who was chosen to brave the 90+ degree weather all day. My brib was that I would be able to knit all day, so I figure it's a fair trade off. This week has proved to be pretty productive for me. My sister got her present, (which was a felted laptop case), I finished the ruffled bra top, I started and finished a sewn and knitted halter top, and I started putting bias or binding around a blanket. I took a white and purple pokadot button-up shirt that was too big, and sized it down to fit me, cut the top half of it off and sewed on rick-rack and knitted on a halter top. Surprisingly it acutally turned out. This is what I worked on today while outside at the sidewalk sale. It was sewed it up a couple nights ago, and I spent today knitting the halter onto the shirt. The length isn't exactly what I was originally thinking- I wanted it a bit longer, but I'm happy with the results. I'm thinking about starting another one tonight. This one is going to be a shade of baby pink with a twist top. It has potential! Well that's all for now. I'll try to get pictures up soon of all my finished projects. See ya! Foxy |
